Caroline Waters, now known as Carolina, was the first (15ha) parcel of land purchased by OYOB in 2013 after extensive research of the Melbourne Planning Scheme, particularly the (then) applicable ‘Melbourne 2030’.
From the early research into the fast rate of growth in population, we concluded that the west, with its abundance of developable land within the UGZ, good access to transport linkages and affordable prices was where we wanted to position ourselves in readiness for this growth. We were so certain of our findings that we took our presentation on an Australia-wide roadshow. Today, some of our closest business partners are as a result of this endeavour.
OYOB Property entered into a partnership with ASX-listed Villa World late in 2017. Villa World was later sold to private equity-backed AVID Property Group in 2019.
The 275-lot Carolina Residential Estate commenced construction in 2020 and in conjunction with OYOB as the land owner, delivered the final of the total 8 stages successfully in 2024.
